Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus

Singing together for more than 20 years

The Chorus is an award winning choir with a passionate commitment to camaraderie through music. Over a 20 year history, our members have challenged stereotypes and stood as proud role models for those struggling with their sexuality or identity. At MGLC, membership is open to all, and we welcome new members from all backgrounds, ages and levels of musical ability.

What’s Happening in 2013!

MGLC are anticipating a a very busy 2013. Look out for our next major concert “Out In the Spotlight“, a celebration of film and stage music, at the Preston Town Hall. Make sure you mark Saturday July 20th in your diaries. More details to be published soon!

Members of the chorus will also be travelling to Hobart to participate in the “Out and Loud Choral” workshop which is being run in conjunction with the annual “Festival of Voices” event in Hobart. There will be a week long workshop, culminating in various performances around Hobart, with one of the highlights being a performance at MONA (Museum of Old and New Art).

If that doesn’t already sound like a full calendar, we are also planning to take the show on the road, and perform in a couple of regional centres in Victoria. More details to come on those performances as well!
