Marc Alexander, Accompanist

marc

Originally from Perth, Marc has been busy performing in Melbourne since the early ‘noughties’. A classically trained pianist, he completed his Bachelor of Music at the University of Western Australia majoring in performance and instrumental teaching. Always drawn to contemporary, popular and music theatre styles, Marc has, since arriving in Melbourne, increasingly been called upon to work in these genres. Marc’s musical versatility combined with the ability to support just about any song has seen his career blossom here in Victoria.

Marc has been fortunate to perform at many of Melbourne’s major venues – amongst them Melbourne Town Hall, Parliament House, Deakin (formerly BMW) Edge at Federation Square, and Hamer Hall but to name a few. A freelance professional, he has performed on television and radio throughout Australia as well as internationally.

Marc adores accompanying singers and is very grateful to be blessed with the accompanist’s role with MGLC and shOUT. He loves the energy, passion and strong sense of community the choir bring to their music making.
